Chair Massage

Great Massages for everybody
Massage Elements will come to your place of business. We bring all needed supplies including massage chairs, cleaning supplies and information about Massage Elements. We will also supply relaxing music if requested.

A few days before the scheduled date, we will send an employee sign-up sheet. Chair massages can be scheduled for 5, 10 or 15 minutes. Massages are usually scheduled in place of regularly scheduled breaks, over lunch breaks or overlapping shifts so employees can get their massage before or after their regular work hours.

The therapist will address common problem areas of the modern workforce, such as shoulders, arms, wrists, and low back. The Massage Therapist will seat the employee in a massage chair designed to allow them to massage the back, neck, shoulders and arms.

Benefits to the Employer and Employee:

Many businesses, large and small, public and private sectors, have found massage therapy to be a benefit that helps attract and retain quality employees as well as help them achieve peak job performance.

Stress is the #1 cause of disability, costing employers billions of dollars each year on lost productivity and healthcare costs. Since the workplace can be stressful, more and more employers are recognizing that a regular massage can counteract the physical and mental effects of stress.

Orthopedic Massage

orthopedic massage 2Our specialty! This modality uses a variety of massage techniques in a strict 12-step protocol. Orthopedic massage is beneficial for people with a variety of conditions, including, but not limited to: chronic pain, carpal tunnel, frozen shoulder, rotator cuff issues, scar tissue from recent or old injuries, and hip or knee replacements. Orthopedic massage is always done “pain free” and therefore requires on-going communication between client and therapist. Orthopedic massage works by balancing the whole structure of the body, starting with the pelvis. This type of work is always scheduled for 1.5 hours at Massage Elements, LLC. Passive, active and resisted ranges of motion will be done before and after the massage session. The therapist will demonstrate stretches and strengthening movements after the massage. Orthopedic massage sessions are scheduled.

Swedish Massage

Swedish Massage

Swedish massage is often called a relaxation massage. Swedish massage is full body massage that sedates, increases blood circulation, and relieves superficial muscle tension. This is an excellent choice for clients that have never had massage or just want to relax and enjoy. Most other types of massage can be incorporated into a Swedish massage and is a great way to experience new types of body work while still being able to have a truly relaxing experience.

Reflexology

Great Massage for Everybody
Reflexology is primarily a relaxation technique performed on the feet and/or hands. Reflexology can reduce the effects of stress allowing the body to rebalance itself. Your therapist will use thumb and finger techniques that apply intermittent pressure to reflex zones mapped on the feet and hands. Clients can choose to have reflexology on the feet or hands or both.

Deep Tissue

Deep tissue massage uses the same strokes that are used in Swedish massage, but the pressure is firmer and more focused to access the deeper layers of muscles. The pressure should not be painful, but because of the more directed and deliberate pressure used client’s often refer to “that hurt that feels good”. Work should always be within the client’s comfort level, so it is important to communicate with the therapist.

Trigger Point

Trigger points are hyper-sensitive points within a muscle, tendon, ligament or surrounding myofascial tissue. Trigger points may refer pain locally within the surrounding muscle tissue or in seemingly unrelated areas of the body. An example a trigger point pain pattern is, in the base of the head may cause pain behind the eye, mimicking a migraine headache. This type of massage requires active communication between the client and massage therapist. Your therapist will explain how to effectively communicate so that this treatment remains well within comfort levels.

Myofascial Release (MFR)

Myofascia is the connective tissue that surrounds muscle tissue. Restrictions, adhesions or scar tissue within the myofascia can cause pain and restrict muscle movement and range of motion. MFR uses holds, sustained pressure, gliding and myofascial stretching techniques to restore the tissue to a more functional state. This can be approached in a very passive manner or a more dynamic style.

Sports Massage

Great Massage for EverybodyNot just for athletes, sports massage is for people who have just entered the world of exercise to the elite athlete. It is for everyone who moves and wants to improve performance, increase their rate of recovery, improve flexibility or increase their range of motion. This type of massage requires the client “participate” in the massage as your therapist will ask you to engage muscles for stretching and have you guide them through areas of tension.

Pregnancy Massage

We give extra special care to our expectant mothers. We use cushions and bolstering to appropriately position pregnant women during the different trimesters of the pregnancy. Safe and comfortable positioning helps ensure that neither the mother to be or baby are compromised during the massage.
